Parents are able to register for Childcare Benefit (CCB) which will reduce the cost of care.

Our Goals

We aim to provide a safe, caring, and affordable service for the children attending St Clare’s Catholic School. We also welcome children from other schools to utilize the Vacation Care program. We strive to create an environment that encourages the development and interests of each child through high quality programming. We aim to create an inclusive environment, where all children, families and staff are treated as valued individuals. Staff and children are expected to treat each other with respect. The children are also encouraged to respect and care for their environment.

Our Program

St Clare's Catholic School OSHC is licenced to operate as a School Aged Care Service. We also go through an Accreditation process whereby an Assessor will visit and assess the service every 3 years to ensure a quality program is being provided. We operate under a national Framework- ‘My TimeOur Place’ which has the aim of improving outcomes for children in School Aged Care Services.

Children plan the Centre program co-operatively with the staff. Our planning is based on the ‘Emergent Curriculum’ approach.

Staff and children plan for an extensive variety of indoor and outdoor activities during After School Care. Various craft activities, board games, musical activities, cooking etc are available indoors. Outdoor activities include sand play, ball games, obstacle courses and various organized games. We also operate the Active After School Care Program, which is funded by the Federal Government.

Our Vacation Care Program offers art and craft activities, wet days, outdoor games, cooking, sewing activities, drama, excursions, and visitors to the Centre.

We have an Open Door Policy at OSHC and Parents are very welcome to participate in all aspects of our program.
